Pigmentation
Pigmentation & melasma
Too much or too little pigment, such as melasma and marks after inflammation.
What is it?
With a pigmentation disorder there is too much or too little pigment in the skin. The most common forms are age spots, melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: discolouration left behind after skin damage or inflammation.
A lack of pigment can be caused by damage to the skin or by conditions such as vitiligo. Sun protection is an important part of the treatment for every pigmentation concern.
How we approach it
Every treatment plan starts with a free 30-minute intake. Your skin therapist examines your skin and discusses what you would like to achieve. We then draw up a treatment plan together. Sometimes one treatment is enough, sometimes we combine two. You also receive advice on caring for your skin at home.
