About the treatment
Tightening the eyelids without surgery
To tighten the eyelids, we offer two treatments without surgery: Tixel® and Morpheus8. Both stimulate the skin to renew itself from within. There is no cutting and no scarring.
Which of the two works best depends on how much the skin has slackened and on your skin type. We look at this together during the intake.
Tixel®: skin renewal with pure heat
Tixel® improves severely sun-damaged skin, deep wrinkles and ageing skin around the eyes. Tixel® does not use laser beams or radiofrequency; it works with pure, natural heat. After the skin has been cleansed and disinfected, the Tixel® delivers short, controlled pulses through a matrix of small sterile pyramids.
Tixel improves fine lines, sagging skin and crow’s feet. After 48 hours you may cover the redness and swelling with make-up, and after about 5 days it has gone completely. A total of 4 to 6 treatments is needed, each one month apart; the best effect is reached about 4 to 6 months after the last treatment. No anaesthesia is needed.
Morpheus8: deep skin tightening
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. Fine needles release heat into the deeper layers of the skin, where they strongly stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The treatment is well suited to lifting the upper and lower eyelids in cases of mild to moderate sagging that do not (yet) require surgical correction.
Because Morpheus8 is more intensive than Tixel, a numbing cream is applied beforehand. An eyelid treatment takes 20 to 30 minutes on average. Redness usually fades within 24 hours and there is sometimes mild swelling; the skin has generally recovered after 1 to 2 days. The result is fully visible after 2 to 3 treatments, with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks.

Result
After a course of Tixel, the production of collagen and elastin continues for up to 6 months after the last treatment. With Morpheus8 the final result becomes visible after 3 to 6 months and lasts a long time. Depending on the condition of your skin, we recommend a maintenance treatment after 1 to 2 years.
