About the treatment
What is acne?
Acne develops through increased sebum production combined with faster keratinisation of the skin. This allows bacteria to multiply and inflammation to develop. The main symptoms of acne are inflammation, spots and blackheads. Acne mostly occurs on the face, shoulders and/or back.
You can come to us for advice and treatment for any form of acne, at any age.
How does acne therapy work?
Various factors can play a role in how acne develops and progresses. This determines the type of acne. The course of the treatment therefore differs from person to person.
In acne treatment the emphasis is on cleansing the skin. The skin is cleared of blackheads and inflammation. Additional therapies such as a peel can also be used to reduce inflammation and prevent scarring. Treating scars caused by acne and camouflaging the skin can also be part of acne therapy.
