Practical information

Complaints procedure

We do our best to help you well. If something goes wrong, or you are unhappy about something, we would like to hear about it. Usually a conversation is enough to put it right.

1. Talk to us

Tell your skin therapist, during or after the treatment. You can also call or email info@huidzorgamstelland.nl. If you would rather not discuss it with your own therapist, ask for Maaike van Weezenbeek, the owner of the practice.

2. Submit a written complaint

If a conversation does not resolve it, or you would rather put your complaint in writing, send a letter or email to Maaike van Weezenbeek, Huidzorg Amstelland, Dorpsstraat 36, 1182 JE Amstelveen, or to info@huidzorgamstelland.nl. Describe what happened, when, and what you expect from us.

Within a week you will hear that we have received your complaint. Within six weeks we will tell you in writing what we are doing about it. If we need more time, for example because we have to consult someone else, we will let you know before the six weeks are up. We can then extend the period by no more than four weeks.

3. Help from an independent complaints officer

If you find it difficult to discuss the complaint with us yourself, or would like advice, you can contact an independent complaints officer of the Klachtenloket Paramedici (Paramedics Complaints Desk) free of charge. They will think along with you, help you write down the complaint and can mediate between you and the practice. The complaints officer is not employed by the practice. Please note that this service is in Dutch.

4. Disputes body

If we cannot resolve it together, even with help from the complaints officer, you can take the complaint to the Geschilleninstantie Paramedici (Paramedics Disputes Body). This is an independent disputes body recognised under the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). Its decision is binding on both you and us, and may include compensation.

What we do with complaints

We treat your complaint confidentially. A complaint has no effect on your further treatment with us. We discuss complaints within the team, without mentioning your name, so that we can learn from them.

Huidzorg Amstelland is a member of the Dutch Association of Skin Therapists (NVH). Our skin therapists are listed in the Dutch Quality Register for Paramedics (Kwaliteitsregister Paramedici).
