About the practice
A small practice
with time for you
Huidzorg Amstelland was founded in 2014 by skin therapist Maaike van Weezenbeek. You are always treated by a registered skin therapist with a bachelor’s degree. Every treatment plan starts with a free intake, in which we look at your skin and draw up a plan together.
The practice is located in the old village church on the Dorpsstraat in Amstelveen: a special place with a serene atmosphere. At every appointment, our full attention is on you. We listen to your question and take the time to examine your skin properly.

All our skin therapists hold a bachelor’s degree, are listed in the Dutch Quality Register for Paramedics and speak English.

What we offer
How can we help you?
A few of the skin concerns people come to us with. For each one you can see which treatments we use.
Acne
Blackheads, spots and inflammation, also in adults.
Skin ageing
Fine lines, wrinkles and skin that is losing firmness.
Pigmentation
Age spots, melasma or marks left after inflammation.
Broken capillaries
Broken blood vessels and redness on the cheeks and nose.
Scars
Scars after acne, surgery or a wound. We make them softer and less visible.
Care after breast cancer
Lymphoedema, tight scars and fragile skin after treatment.
Health insurance
Is your treatment covered?
Some of our treatments can be covered by supplementary health insurance when there is a medical reason. For example:
- acne therapy on the face
- scar therapy
- peels, depending on what they are used for
- oedema and scar therapy after breast cancer
Cosmetic treatments, such as skin rejuvenation, are not covered. Treatments for broken capillaries and pigmentation are no longer covered. How much you get back depends on your policy. We discuss what applies to you during the intake.
